Toyin is someone i admire so much,talented,loving and professional.we sat down to have this interesting interview and i had fun doing this,she said alot about what people dont know about her,her life,movie,and the other side of toyin that people dont know...

Educational background?
OND Business Studies, HND Marketing and Degree in Philosophy OOU Ogun state.

How did you get involved in Acting?
I was introduced into Acting through Bukky Wright.

Have you any other talent aside acting?
Yes! I can sing very well and I'm going to do that soon.

What is your opinion about actors and actress going into singing?
It's no big deal if an actor decides to take a music career, we all are entertainers.

What was your first film like?
My first movie was funny, I had fun.

Have you ever being sexually abused?maybe in the course of you looking for a role.
I have never been sexually abused 

Tell me about an area in which you would like to improve as an actor?
I would love to go out for events more, I hardly go out cos I'm a very homely person but I would love to change all that and be seen more at events




Which has been your favorite character that you have performed?
I love the character I played in ALAKADA cos it's the direct opposite of me, I'm bringing back the character soon and in a bigger way this time.

Have you produced any movie?
I have Produced 7movies so far but still counting thou.

How do you think we can improve on our story lines?
It depends on the individual writer to know how to improve on a story being worked on

What do you think about the way movies are produced here in naija,like
new movies every week?
We are working on it and I'm sure it will get better soon.


Where do you get your inspirations from?
I get inspiration from God and people around me.

What makes you stands out?
My Talent definitely stands me out.


What have you learned from your senior actors?
I have learnt to be humble from my senior colleagues in the industry.

From where have you learned acting?
I didn't learn Acting from anywhere or anyone, it's my talent and I only worked on my craft personally.

How do you think film stars handle their popularity?
I think it's individual differences when it comes to stardom handling.

What has been your biggest achievement in the field of acting?
Being an Alist Actor in a very competitive industry like Nollywood.

Mention about any special recognition or award that you have received
for your acting skills?
Yes! Loads of Awards but the most recent is the Afro Hollywood Award for best supporting Actress 2012.

What kind of roles do you prefer?
I act any role I'm being given and I see them all as a challenge so I make sure I give my best at all times.

Acting nude in a movie,what is your take on it?
Acting nude is a total out of place act for me, I can never act nude cos this is Africa and we have cultures and traditions.


What is the relationship between the yoruba artiste and there english
counterparts?
We have mutual relationship with all of them, I personally have few friends amongst them and we relate well.

People often say our actors and actress dont do exercises,dont workout,what can you say about this?
It depends on individual to take their exercise seriously.

You have not done any English movie,why?
I have done Super story but I have not really been getting English scripts, I was called for Blackberry babes but I was on location at the time.

What is the hardest part of being a celebrity?
The hardest part of being a celebrity is that we do not have a life of our own.

Give me a few tips to be a successful actor?
Prayerful, hardwork, Education and humility are the tips of being a successful actor.

Wedding?
God's time is the best for wedding.

Who is the lucky man?
It's my private life and I don't want to talk about it.

Piracy?
Piracy is really killing us in this business and we really hope God makes a way soon.

Advice for upcoming actors.
All up and coming actors should put God first, be very humble and be consistent, rome wasn't built in a day but if you know what u are doing, u will surly get there......

ACTRESS,OAP,TV PERSONALITY......ADEJUMOKE



This beautiful lady is one of naija next big thing when its comes to entertainment,jummy is a talented actress,good looking,funny,and knows what she wants when its comes to production,she recently produced her own movie called MABO.
We sat down and had this interesting interview....

My name is Adejumoke Aderounmu

Educational background?
I attended St. Bernerdettes Private school, Abeokuta Girls' Grammar School and Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife respectively.

How did you get involved in Acting?
Acting for me was a coincidence, everyone around me including my lecturers in school thought I could do it and I got lucky when my friend's house was being used to shoot Okun Ife Yi in 2007, went with my friend to her house in Ibadan and I got lucky to get a nurse role after the person that was supposed to play the role refused to show up.

Your first role as an actress?
My first role was a nurse in Okun ife Yi and it was fun.

How many movies have you featured in?
I have featured in a couple of movies, lost count actually.

What was your first film like?
My first movie was fun unlike some people, I didn't have camera/star fright, I just did my thing and everybody thought I had acted before because they said I acted well, the Encouragement I got made me want to do more movies.

What was your experience on the set of ARUGBA?
ARUGBA's experience was a once in a life time experience, I learnt a lot and I was privileged to meet with professionals, TK called me for the role at the time I least expected and I was very happy to work with him.

Who are the actors you always want to work with?
I have always wanted to work with all the talented Actors in the industry and I've been able to work with some, I hope to work with others soon enough. I would want to work with every talented actor in the industry.

What do you learn from your senior colleagues?
I have learnt to be punctual on set and deliver roles spontaneously from my senior colleagues through working with them on set.

Have you produced any movie?
I produced my first movie in May this year and it's still at the editing at the moment, it's titled MABO.

Who are your favorite actors and actress in naija?
My favourite Nigerian Actors would be Aunty Joke Silva, Genevieve Nnaji, Toyin Aimakhu, Omoni Oboli, Un Olu Jacobs, Gabriel Afolayan, Bimbo Akintola.

Your favorite naija movie of all time?
My favourite Nigerian Movie of all time is Madam Dearest.

Where do you get inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from God almighty.

What else do u do aside acting?
Apart from Acting, I am a TV personality, working on my TV show at the moment, and I'll soon start a job as an OAP at Concert Radio(an online Radio in Nigeria) I have always wanted to be on Radio and include it in my Profile.

Tell us about your tv show?
My TV show is in process, it's a variety show of style and fashion, celebrity interviews and behind the scenes/reality show on one of our top music artiste, (I don't want to mention his name yet).it's strictly an entertainment show. I'm recording the first quarter soon by God's grace and it would start airing as soon as it is ready.

People say u talk to much in movies,why?
LMAO! If anyone says I talk too much in movies, then it's their opinion and I can't change it but I do not talk too much, my senior colleagues and directors are even more of the opinion that I have more of reactions, so people have different opinions.

Have you done any English movie?
I am a cross over actor, I act both English and yoruba movies and I have done some English movies as well.

Tell us one thing you will love to change in nollywood.
What I would love to change about the industry should show more in my works and that's what I intend doing.

Words for my fans? *suprised* wow... do I have fans already? I'm not a celeb o! My Kind of music is very Provocative,Real Life issues and Straight

I Listened to Protest Music,Live Music,Well Thought out 
Compositions...Pretty much good music.

Where do you get your inspirations from?
I get my Inspiration(s) from Eledumare,The Nigerian Police and 
everyday life.

You have a lot of collabos,how was it like working with all this artistes?
Well, its  always stressful considering time factors and the fact i 
get to be present in all the sessions and make sure everything goes 
exactly the way i want them.

You are one of naija's best producer,how did you start producing?
I started in Secondary School. Never used to be an 
instrumentalist,just dictated the notes and chords i wanted but when i 
couldn't get them to undertsand what i had in my head, i started 
fiddling with the Keys myself

What is the favorite song you ever wrote and what inspire the song?
"Subsidy (freestyle)" is one of my Favourite songs and it wasn't 
written, i just jumped into Vocal Booth and started Ranting.The 
situation of the country as at that period inspired it.


How do you combine being a producer and an artiste?
For Me,They go hand in hand cos it completes me(Very Tiring 
though)

What was it like when you produced a song for Sound Sultan and Wyclef then?
I did Not Produce "King Of My Country" o, Jay Sleek did. I was 
just in charge of engineering the Remix Session with Wyclef.

What is the relationship with you and Clarence peters?
The relationship between Clarence and i is simple...He's a 
GOAT and am a COW.

People see you as an artsite who is not shy to come out and say it as it is,like rugged man,you speak for the shoemakers,mechanics,why?
I make Music based on what i feel and how best the message 
should be passed across, undiluted.

Your opinion about the naija music scene?
Its a Happening Scene that can be better.

Your opinion about Alaba Market?
Alaba is just a Reflection of the Nigerian Government.

When is your new album dropping?W
I don't know yet there's so much to handle at CAPital/Goretti 
Company right now, i'm not keen on dropping any album yet.

Who are you looking forward to working with again?

How do you cope with your female fans?
I treat my female fans the way they want to be treated.The way 
they present themselves.

I wear shorts for fertility reasons....Skinny jeans don't Fit,every 
man needs Air the Blockos.


How do you relax?
I used just go out and play soccer in the hood but now there's so 
much to do these days, i just watch a little bit of movies and "twitter"

Tell us the brief history of your group?
The Bridge, a decade and 2 years old group formed at C A C oke-itura when the members were very young with limited musical proficiency. Within seven years, they released 2 songs titled "HelplessCry" and "my Home".The group has performed at different concerts and shows.
The Bridge does AFro POP/Rock/RnB, the group at everytime takes STRONG/DEEP lyrics into consideration when writing their songs.

 School Background?
 adekunleGOLD is a graduate of Lagos state polytechnic with HND in Graphics

 We hope to be Nigeria's finest group, singing songs that will be heard all over the world.

 We write our songs and some by a friend named Tayo Imabeh.

Not bad, we get comments from people that we are doing great.

Naija music scene?
Music used to be Art in this country but at the moment its really not, alot of budding singers cant even sing meaningful songs to save themselves, but thank God for great artistes that still abound making great music for us to learn from.

OSAS OMOGE BENIN......

Mercy Aigbe Gentry is a a wonderful woman,jovial,kind hearted actress,the little time i spent with her on this interview was a life time experience for me,its was never a dull moment with her,this nollywood actress has come to stay,achieved alot in a little time,she is definately a rare gem.

How did you get involved in Acting?
From happenings around me.

When did you start your acting career?
I started acting professionally in the year 2005/2006.

How many movies have you done so far?
Have lost counts,have done well over 60 movies.

How different is it to act in a movie and to act in a theater play?
When you want to act on stage you need to do rehearsals for several weeks or months , before staging the play proper, but actingin a movie takes a day or two days rehearsals before recording, and also acting on stage, you are faced with a live audience, onlike when you are recording a movie where you have only the cast and the crew member of a particular movie on set with you. 

Tell me about an area in which you would like to improve as an actor?
As an actor, Am contented with my act, because as an actor you have to be versatile, and i have been able to a play different character in many movies i have produced.

Do you ever think that you could have done a bit better in any particular role? 
NO

Which has been your favourite character that you have performed?
OSAS

I know you have done a lot of movies,but OSAS OMOGE BENIN is one of my
favorite,what was the inspiration behind the movie?

When i was called up by Wale Adenuga production to featured in papa ajasco, I was scared and happy because that was my first time i will ever acted a comedy film, whenever i was on set, i discover everybody was just laughing anytime i was on set, so that was when i got inspired to produce a comedy movie. My movie OSAS was born out of my desire to be versatile in my field, because that was the first time i will act a comedy movie, OSAS was shot with pidging and yoruba language.I actually wants to reachout to my fans in benin, that is why i decide to produce it.

What lessons are there to be learnt in the movie? 
Believing in ur culture and language, we should not sweep our culture under the carpet, we should learn to strike a balance between our modern language.

How was it like on the set of the movie?
It was not easy because we shot in benin and we have to move our cast and crew down to Lagos, but to God be the glory we succeeded.

How is the acceptance like?
It was awesome.

What do you think about the way movies are produced here in naija,like
new movies every week? 

In terms of production, we are improving.

Where do you get your inspirations from? 
From happenings around me.

What are your strong points as an actor?
Am a proffessional to the core.

DONA DIVA..............THE NEXT BIG THING


Dona Diva is a talented young lady,a singer,fashion designer and also got interest in production.
She won a competition in london and never looke back since then.

Background?
 Am from ABRAKA ethiope east in Delta state an urhobo girl. Am from a family of 10, six boys four girls, i started music at the age of 15 in church like every one else lol! from there i moved to Warri and to Lagos to continue. I started from the studio and then live band i played at the Sheraton hotel ikeja for 5years plus but i have to stop my band cos it was hindering me from travelling out of the country for my shows.
I have travelled all over the world for shows..places like, Australia, Uk, Dubai, Ghana and many more after living in d Uk a few months i decided to come back home and start my music career fully.

Why music? 
Ok music is been part of me since i was a child and i found out i love and enjoy doing it than any other thing, and i found out again that ill be waisting my time working for some1 when i can work for myself and be happy at thesame time.

How will you describe you kind of music?
My kind of music is a liitle bit of everything. My album is going to have Rock, Pop, Afro and all kind of music to spice it up don't like doing just one pattern of music thats y, but the Shut up song is pop.

As a child growing up,what kind of music do u listened to?
As a child growing up i listened to all sort of music India, blues, rock and every lol!

What was the first song you ever wrote?
The first song i wrote is a rock song called THIS WORLD
My new single titled shut up! is a song i wrote for negative minded people. People who think you are not good enough for anything, people who think you can't make it in life, people who always criticise. I believe everybody is beautiful in one way or the other so, thats why i wrote the song.

Tell us about your new single?
The concept behind my video is angry girls saying ENOUGH! lol! is not not to show booty or sexiness is just shut up! is a tomboy thing and dance just different tho..

When did you realised you wanted to pursue music?
I realised like 6months ago..have been doing live band for 5year but, just for fun and the cash lol! but i started really thinking of coming out when a went for a competition in London called THE SURFACE FESTIVAL we got to the 3rd position and my manager Goerge added Diva to my name and advice i take it from behind the scene..I had a very long thought so, here i am.

When is your album coming out?
Hmmm maybe next year as i still have 2 more singles to drop.

Your favorite nigerian song?
Ill love to work with my Boss 2baba 2face.. Dbang, lots even female artist too Tiwa, asha,lots of them.
Only me by 2face, jailer asha, oliver dbang, love me tiwa, bros them plenty ooo lol!

How much creative control do you have over your music?
Over creative.

As a lady,how do you cope with obstacles?
Well i cope with prayers oo somthing i cry tho when things and stuffs i really heavy on me but, i know ill get there and i know nothing good comes easy

Aside music,what else do you have interest in?
I have interest in Fashion and production. All the costumes in my video was costomised by me, and then i produce too so using those two too.

What record label are you signed on to?
I just got a management deal with an international company called ''DOUBLE A'' that's all for now am
not signed to any record label yet but, am getting offers now and am thinking bout them.

Any club tour,state or international tour yet?
Yes yes! am doing a club tour in PH next week, i have a show coming up in LAGOS called DONNADIVA LIVE ,am going to be performing with my Band, and in U.S.A and HOLLAND next month so we are planing.

What is your dream colabo?
Colabo..2face, Dbang, Tiwa, Asha with Zee again lol!

Your opinion about the naija music scene?
My opinion. Am happy we are growing and learning to appreciate our music

Your relationship with the other artiste,especially the female artistes?
Well the ones i know we relate well

ALAYELUWA........THE KING OF FUJI MUSIC


 I have known this great fuji artiste all my life,we grew up in the same area,i can tell one or two things about him,a great fellow to be with,a philanthropist,interesting,religious and a gentleman,a great family man,you all need to see him perform and you know he's a real entertainer.

 
Full names?

My name is Sulaiman Alao Adekunle Saka-Orunto.
Background?

 From the Orunto family of Ago-Owu, in Abeokuta. Owu, by the way is a quarter in the rock city. I am in my late 30’s and I am a musician. I compose, arrange, sing as well as play the drums- drumset, Gangan, Iya ilu, Sakara and so on.


How will you describe you kind of music?  

My genre of music is Fuji, common among the people of the South West part of Nigeria and especially Muslims. It is educative, entertaining and informative.

What kind of music do you listened to when you are growing up?  
Apala, Fuji, Sakara.

Do you play any instrument? 
I play the drums and percussions.


Your first album MR WONDER was released in 1994,how have u evolved since then?
 I've become more confident, i am a better singer, performer and musician. I improve everyday.

The album MR WONDER,is still one of my favorite album of all time,who
wrote the song?
I did just as i do write all my songs.

How was it like being the first music artiste among your peers to be
the first to travel to the USA?
It was a thing of joy that i blaze the trail. I was the first to travel outside Africa on a performance tour among my peers in any genre of music and i am grateful to God that almost everyone are doing that regularly now.

Which of the albums is your favorites?  
All of them are unique and tells a part of my story. From MR WONDER till date, I cherish all my albums.

Fuji artistes are looked at as a drop out,illiterates,what can you sat
about this?  
It is not true. Education is not only what you go to a formal school to learn. Many of us are not illiterates as we do talk to and perform for whites.


What is your relationship with KING AYINDE WASIU?  
Cordial, very cordial. We use to be in the same record label and he is like a musical father to me.

I know you have had some rough times with some of your colleagues
people like saheed osupa,pasuma wonder,what exactly has being the
problems?

I believe there understanding level was low. The sky is big enough for all of us to exist without harming each other. I dont have any problem with anyone.
The issue of titles that you fuji artistes are always attaching to
your names,where is that really from?  


It is all branding, to make us appeal to our fans and the general public more. Sometimes people give you awards and titles and expect you to use them while performing.

And what can you say about the rumours of fighting in public with
other fuji artistes?
 That is a thing of the past among all of us. It happenned to me once and that time too, i was attacked by another artiste and his boys.

Tell us about your greatest show you ever played?  
 Too many than i can recollect but my first show in the USA in 1997 still remain fresh in my memory

I know you have being to almost everywhere in the world,what countries
are you still looking forward to?  
 The South America's, as well as countries like New Zealand, Australia. It is my desire to extend the frontiers of Fuji music to those continents

Fuji artiste are said to have so many wives,tell us how many you have? 
 I am married to two lovely women

What other talents do you have aside singing?
 I am a sports person. I can play soccer, table tennis and so on

Writing and performing of fuji songs are very hard to do,how do you
pull this off? 
 It's like asking a cook how he/she do cook. It is my trade secret and I thank God for giving me the talent


What record label are you singed on to?
Babalaje Music. Though we dont have a formal contract, but we understand ourselves

Where do you get your inspiration from?  
From people, from nature, from what God has done and is doing for me

Tell us about a typical day in your life?
 I sleep, play games and relax with my family even if I have a performance 


You have a lot of colabos,how was it like working with all this artistes?
It's fun working with and helping other artiste. It is no burden at all. I enjoy it.

Are you looking forward to discovering other talents just like you
were discovered too?  
I do the best I can. I have helped many younger artiste get a footing through participating in there albums, sponsoring album, helping them travel out of the country on playing tours and featuring them in my shows or in their shows.

Your opinion about the naija music scene? 
it's getting better. It has improved tremendously more than when we began almost 30 years ago. Though opportunities are limited now due to the economic situation, there are better chances for those who work hard enough with God behind such.

How do you relate with the other artistes from the hip hop scene? 
We are all one. Some are my friends, others are just colleagues but if and when there is a need to relate, we do come together

How many cars do you drive?
 I have two right now. I've gone past the time when i buy a lot of cars

How do you cope with your female fans?  
They are necessary evils that we must live with. They remain my fans and I try as much as possible to make them happy as my fans.

How do you relax?
 I play games on my PlayStation or just sleep

Married?  
Sure

Awards?
 Too many that i cant recollect all

Piracy. 
We are calling on the government to help us tackle that problem. They are really killing us.

 I love them all and I am promising that i won't ever disappoint them. They should continue to believe in me
